International Accelerated Missions
In 1981, Pastor Jay Francis of Rock Road Chapel in Berne, New York received a God-given burden to train believers for the harvest and to develop mission schools to "train nationals to touch nationals". For years he carried this word in his heart and prayers.  Before the end of 1991, the Lord moved in the heart of others, and they too embraced the vision.  This was the beginning of International Accelerated Missions (IAM).  The first IAM Headquarters Office was housed in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Colonie, New York.

A short term training course was first held in January 1992 with 12 students. Upon graduation in February, they traveled as a team for a brief mission in Jamaica. A powerful prayer meeting was birthed upon their return which continues.  IAM Missionaries started to be launched out across the world spreading the Gospel in many capacities to help "Nationals reach Nationals". 

Within one year many IAM Schools were established into the nations. The training materials are currently being used in hundreds of IAM training schools around the globe to include such countries as Jamaica, Uganda, Haiti, Philippines, Cuba, India, Nigeria, Bolivia, Nepal, Panama, the Dominican Republic and more. There are countless graduates trained in evangelism, teaching and works of mercy, but even more importantly they have grown in love with God, through prayer and worship. Revival has broken out in many areas and transformation of several communities have been recorded as a result of the ministry of IAM students! IAM seeks to impart a vision for the students to reach the unreached.

Within several years of the inception of International Accelerated Missions, IAM felt a burden to expand the ministry to provide works of mercy.  IAM supported several small projects such as the beginning of a chicken farm to provide protein to those in Africa, and providing trade items for training believers as a means of financial increase in Haiti. 

Several "focus" ministries began in the mid-1990's.  IAM Medical Missions was started and teams began to go into the nations to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of those in needy areas.  The vision was given and is progressing towards sending a medical team monthly to provide hope through this hands-on gospel outreach.   IAM Builders was raised up to send teams to assist local nationals with projects such as building orphanages, clinics, church buildings, homes for widows, etc.  "IAM International Teen (IAM IT)" was established for teens to be trained and sent into the mission field. Boot Camps were held to train the groups prior to the going on short term trips held in the summer months. The ministry name was changed to Youth Ablaze and now incorporates local urban outreach and school vacation trips.

In January 2001, a ministry of IAM, the Capital Region Prayer and Healing Center was dedicated. This large 3-story facility in Albany included the IAM Headquarters Office, a 24/7 Prayer Room, Bride's Song Recording, Fountain Gate Book Store, Kid's Club ministry to inner city children, Healing Rooms, and the Koinonia Health Care Facility. The ministry vision grew and in 2004 was blessed and released as a new incorporation. 

In the fall of 2004, International Accelerated Missions moved to its current location at 114 Rock Road in Berne, New York.  On January 8, 2005 the IAM House of Nations was dedicated during the Open House Celebration. Housing for IAM missionaries and an IAM School are available in this beautiful facility in the Helderberg Mountains. 

The IAM Ministers' Fellowship was established in June 2008 to bring ministers and ministries into greater unity with God's Kingdom purposes. Rev. Jay Francis was appointed as the Director.

Many missionaries and Ministries are being strengthened to do the "work of the Lord".  Multitudes are hearing the "Good News of Jesus Christ" and giving their lives to Him in worship and awesome service.
